If You Want Something Done Right
When we returned home to Ottawa, we searched everywhere for a pillow like the one we had imagined. We checked travel stores, outdoor gear shops, and online retailers. But we couldn’t find anything that delivered the comfort, portability, and quality we wanted.
So, we decided to build it ourselves.
Inspired by Henry Royce of Rolls-Royce, who famously said, “If you can’t find what you’re looking for, make it,” we began designing the Pillowpacker.
We sourced Canadian goose down and duck down for our premium down pillows. For travelers who prefer synthetic materials, we sourced German-designed hypoallergenic microfiber for our down-alternative pillows.
Our goal was to recreate the at-home sleeping experience in a travel pillow weighing less than a pound, compact enough to fit into a small stuff sack inside your luggage.
After a year of design, testing, and refinement, we launched the Pillowpacker Travel Pillow in 2010, establishing ourselves as a premium travel comfort brand focused on real sleep quality for travelers.
Our Ethics
Many travelers today care deeply about the ethical treatment of animals, and so do we.
Our down travel pillows use Canadian white goose and white duck down sourced from responsible suppliers. Our exclusive supplier is a member of the Canadian Down and Feather Association, which requires all members to follow the Canadian Down Standard for humane treatment of animals.
Comfort should never come at the expense of ethical responsibility. As a Canadian travel pillow brand, we believe responsible sourcing is essential.

Made in Canada
Our travel pillows are our flagship products, and they are proudly manufactured in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city.
Nearly all of our materials are sourced within Canada:
- Brôme Lake, Québec provides the white duck down used in our Brôme Lake Series (600 loft) pillows.
- Our Chinook Series (700 loft) white duck down and St. Moritz Series (800 loft) white goose down are sourced from Hutterite communities in Western Canada.
When you place an order, your pillow is packed and shipped directly from our Ottawa office.
For travelers who prefer synthetic materials, we also offer an environmentally friendly, hypoallergenic microfiber down alternative.
What is Loft?
“Loft” refers to the fluffiness and insulating ability of down.
It measures the number of cubic inches that one ounce of down can fill. High-quality down typically ranges above 500 lofts, meaning it provides excellent insulation and softness while remaining lightweight.
Only down has loft. Feathers and microfibers do not.
