Johnny Jet Features Pillowpacker in His 2026 Travel Pillow Roundup

Travel writer Johnny Jet recently included one of our Canadian-made inflatable pillows in his 2026 roundup on JohnnyJet.com, which was also published on MSN. The feature comes about 16 years after he first tried pillows sent by founder Garry Logue.

The pillow he featured was The Suprelle, our vegan-friendly down-alternative inflatable pillow. It stood out for a simple reason: it looks more like a small bed pillow than the U-shaped travel pillows most people are used to.

Who Is Johnny Jet?

Johnny Jet has been writing about travel for decades, but his story did not start with someone who was naturally comfortable flying. He has written about being afraid of flying when he was younger before eventually becoming a frequent traveller and picking up tips along the way.

In 1995, he began sharing those tips through an email newsletter with friends, family and colleagues. That eventually grew into JohnnyJet.com, which he launched in 1999. Today, he writes about the practical side of travel, from flights and deals to gadgets, travel tips and family trips, drawing on years spent travelling around the world.

A Connection Going Back 16 Years

Around 16 years ago, founder Garry Logue sent pillows to Johnny and his wife to try. Garry reached out again years later and let him know they were still being made in Canada.

And while a lot has changed over those 16 years, one thing hasn’t: the pillows are still made in Ottawa. If you’re curious about those earlier days, our 2011 MetroNews interview with Garry shares more about how the business started and the idea behind the pillow.

What Johnny Jet Said in His Pillowpacker Review

One of the things Johnny points out is that this doesn’t look like the travel pillow most people picture first.

It measures 19 × 14 inches and has the rectangular shape of a small bed pillow, with an inflatable core inside so the firmness can be adjusted.

Johnny described it simply as:

“basically a miniature version of the pillow you sleep on at home”

The Pillow He Featured

In Johnny’s article, it appears as the Down Alternative Microfiber Inflatable Travel Pillow. On our store, it is called The Suprelle. It has five ounces of Suprelle Micro microfiber around the inflatable core. The synthetic fill is a down alternative and is vegan-friendly and hypoallergenic. Let the air out, and the pillow packs into its nylon stuff sack for travel.

For anyone who doesn’t like wearing a U-shaped pillow around the neck, the rectangular design offers a different option. If natural down is more your preference, the range also includes The Brome, The Tofino and The Banff.

It’s been about 16 years since Johnny first tried one of our pillows, so we really appreciate seeing it included in his 2026 roundup. Thanks, Johnny, for sharing it with your readers.
