About Our Duck Down

World-renowned duck down comes from Brome Lake, Quebec. Canada’s chilly climate gives the Brome Lake ducks a fluffy, soft down to keep them warm throughout the year.

Duck down is less lofty than goose down, but it’s more abundant. This makes it cheaper to buy, and provides a wonderful, luxurious compromise for those who want to rest their heads on downy softness without paying extra. At less insulation per weight, it’s also a nice alternative to people who prefer their pillows a little cooler.

All of our duck down is humanely harvested. No duck is ever force-fed, raised to be harvested, or live-plucked for their down.

* What is "Loft"....Loft is the measure of the "fluffiness" of Down and only Down has loft, feathers have no loft. It refers to the number of cubic inches that one ounce of down will fill. The loft of good quality down can range from about 550 but can range from about 300 to 800.

Better than expected

I was half hoping that this travel pillow would fall short of expectations because it's very pricey and I hoped to return it for that reason. Unfortunately, I'm really impressed. It's super comfortable, soft textured, and just the right amount on lift. It is a bit larger than will fit in my cross-body bag where I put all my stuff when traveling, but I decided to use the pouch it came in and hang it from my bag. Overall I'm surprisingly pleased with this pillow. But ouch, the price!
